Card fraud is on the rise. Take steps to prevent it.

Card fraud is on the rise. Take steps to prevent it.

Trailhead’s Visa Fraud Prevention Service works behind the scenes to monitor your credit and debit card accounts for unusual activity. When abnormal activity is detected, you will receive an automated call or text asking you to verify (or deny) the purchases.

Here are 3 steps you can take to protect yourself as well:

  1. Make sure your cell phone number is updated so you receive the call or text. You can review and update your number via digital banking.
  2. Enroll in account alerts to receive email notifications for activities on your account(s).
  3. Review ways to protect yourself from identity theft on our ID Theft resource webpage to see more ways to keep safe.

Please be aware that Trailhead and Visa Fraud Prevention Services will NEVER call, email, or otherwise contact you and ask for your full card number, expiration date, PIN, or Online Banking username or password. They may ask: your zip code, the last four digits of your Social Security Number, the phone number of the primary member, your date of birth, and the amount of your last transaction or payment.
