The Trailhead Difference
A financial institution that conforms to fit your unique situation, not the other way around.
Maximize Your MembershipTrailhead's Commitment to Members
Our mission is to deliver financial solutions, enhancing members’ quality of life and enriching their communities.
Small Enough to Know Better
Unlike big financial institutions that see you as your account number, we take pride in getting to know your unique financial situation and needs so we can help you make your dreams come true.
Banking for the Non-conformist
Membership is not about conforming. It’s about unique individuals working together towards a common goal. As a member of Trailhead, you’ll get advice and solutions as unique as you are to help you live life the way you want.
Passion for Portland
We love Portland and the people who call it home. As a credit union by members, for members, we keep our focus on the good of the PDX community.
Financial Guidance for Whatever Trail You Choose
Wherever you are on your path to financial success, we can help you navigate the trail so you can reach the summit. Whether the summit is getting out of debt, home ownership, or something else, we are proud to find creative ways to help you get there. Here are some of the most common topics we work on with our members.
Understanding Credit
Knowing how credit works and how you can use it — rather than feeling like it is using you — lays the foundation for a strong financial future.
Retirement Planning
No matter how old you are, if you’re of working age, it’s not too soon to start planning for your retirement.
Invest in Your Future
Whether you need tactics for building up your savings or advice on how to get good returns on the savings you have, we can help.
Providing Support Where You Live, Work, and Play
Trailhead’s community involvement supports PDX life
At Work in the Community
Our deep-rooted connection to Portland is inspired by the interests of the people within our neighborhoods; our purpose, is to further the welfare of the local community through social, urban, and environmental efforts. Whether we are supporting a student via the Trailhead Annual Scholarship or volunteering at a Forest Park cleanup, our members’ community interests are our interests.
Supporting Local Businesses
Unlike big national banks who work to maximize profits to shareholders by sending jobs overseas or out of state, Trailhead prefers to work with, and primarily works with, local businesses and employees.
Helping Low and Moderate Income Individuals
Creating Awesome Careers
We know happy employees lead to happy members. That’s why were ranked among the Top 100 Best Nonprofits to work for in Oregon. Plus, the money we put back into the community in 2022 helped create 31 jobs.
